Do You Wanna Run Away (With Me Mary Lou)

I'm down right and tired, of runnin' round,
My legs can't cut it no more,
I'm 'bout ready to fall and hit the ground,
'Cause it don't look as good as it did before,

Well, I think my pockets are full o' holes,
I can't seem to hold on to a paycheck for long,
This job I got, man, it don't feed my belly, it don't feed my soul,
I thought I could hack it once long ago, but I guess I ain't that strong,

Well now, baby, pack your dresses and shoes,
'Cause I think it's 'bout time we jumped the fence,
Let's see what's on the other side, I'm tired of the blues,
Let's step out of the line, stayin on it don't make no sense,
We can do favours for friends we don't know,
We can even do some for ourselves, along the road,
We'd go and see and do, whatever we wanted to,
What do you say, do want to runaway with me Mary Lou,

We stay up all night, whenever we want to,
No more early mornings, no more crack o'dawn,
We're on top of the world, honey, it's just me and you,
In bed overlookin' the river, starin' at the risin' sun,

No more o' that waitin 'til the last day to see,
If we're gonna be able to make ends meet,
We've got enough dough, you and I,
To buy stars, and suns and galaxies, babe we'll make it home free,

Like two wandering pirates searching for,
Nothing at all, we hit the nightly streets,
I'm your king, you're my queen,
And this here city, belongs to you and me,

Lately the cops have been on our tail, breathin' down our necks,
And the d.a is lookin' to make a name for himself,
Well now darling, don't go getting scared, jumping the gun, we gotta use our heads,
'Coz in the end, we ain't got much more than each other and ourselves,

The city lights don't seem to shine,
Quite as hard and bright as they did not so long ago,
And safely kept, within your eyes, breaths the only light I can find,
Why, if this city's too hot for us, let's hop on a plain,
Or a train or a bus, babe and let´s just go,

Well now, baby, pack your dresses and shoes,
'Cause I think it's 'bout time we jumped the fence,
Let's get outta this city, I'm tired of the blues,
Let's run away babe, stayin here don't make no sense,
We've got coppers and lawmen huntin' us down,
Take my hand, we'll never look back, we'll just skip town,
Everything's gonna be just fine, it's just me and you
What do you say, do want to runaway with me Mary Lou,

Did the world shrink down in the last couple o' days,
Or does it just seem that way,
Well, we got Uncle Sam's cavalry standing outside,
Waitin' to take us out for a very long ride,

I'll never let go o' your hand I swear,
Let me kiss you twice, one for now and one for the road,
Let's see what's got 'em boys all winded up and hollarin' out there,
Let's meet 'em with our twin tommies, and then,
Darling I promiss, we're free to go,

Well now, baby, close your eyes and cut your hair loose,
I think it's 'bout time we jumped the fence,
Let's see what's on the other side, I'm tired of the blues,
Let's run outside the line, stayin on it don't make no sense,
Well, now we've got the one thing we ever really needed, yes, we do,
What do you say, for old time's sake,
Do you wanna run away with me Mary Lou,

Just Another Hole In The Ground

I was painting murals and telling stories,
Of people livin' out all the dreams I once had,
Father told me, son, what you doin' that for,
What do you think you're gonna get out of that,
Get yourself a payin' job, so you can be a man,
And toss those foolish dreams out into the trash can,

This world is just another hole in the ground,
And everyone is just another oil man,
Tryin' to get something out of it,
Maybe I'll just, dig myself a deeper hole,
And never ever, climb out of it,

Well, I got myself a girl, so sweet , so pretty,
Brown eyes, soft lips, long hair, her name was Mary lou,
Like homeless cats we'd roam 'round the city,
Doin' the things that kids up and do,
She loved me for a long hard second and she loved me good,
She left when she saw I couldn't give her the things another man could

That's when I understood,

This world is just another hole in the ground,
And everyone is just another gold digger,
Tryin' to get something out of it,
Maybe I'll just, dig myself a deeper hole,
And never ever, climb out of it,

Well now, life in the city ain't no easy life,
When your pockets are lined with dust,
Pressed up against your throat, there's a huntin' knife,
And holdin' it is the man, the man you cannot trust,
Well maybe it's just best to do somethin,
Somethin' on the wrong side of the line, and take the coast line bus,

'Cause this world is just another hole in the ground,
And everyone's just another thief in the night,
Tryin' to get something out of it,
Maybe I'll dig myself a deeper hole,
And never ever, climb out of it,

C'est La Vie (New Orleans Is My Home)

Way back when,
In the old days,
When I was tramping,
'Cross the U. S. A,
I was a stoaway,
On a runaway train,
And there I met a man,
With a wooden cain,
A ragged shirt,
A pair of wornout shoes,
A dusty hat,
And grey hair,
We both happened,
To be headin',
Down to New Orleans,
He had a guitar,
Right beside him,
Tucked away,
In it's case,
He took it out,
And right there and then,
He began to play,
He sang about love,
And life and time,
And how they swiftly eat away,
At the flower of youth,
He said time,
Was unforgiving,
It gives no man,,
No quarter no treuce,

But, C'est la vie,
C'est la vie,
C'est la vie,
C'est la vie,

Well, we got off,
In Memphis, Tennessee,
And walked all the way down,
To Beale Street,
And like the drifter he was,
A tramping bard,
Around his chest,
He strapped his guitar,
He started to play,
And the people walking by,
Would stop and  gather 'round,
And pennies and nickels they 'd all lay down,
When he finished it must have been,
'Bout 9 o'clock,
We was headed,
Down to the docks,
I said man,
Don't you ever tire,
Of playing on street corners,
For nickels and dimes,
He said son,
I don't play for no one,
See, like the bee,
Is driven to make honey just to make honey,
So am I,
Driven to play,
To sing, to walk,
 Until the day I die,

C'est la vie,
C'est la vie,
C'est la vie,
C'est la vie,

After days of sailing down,
The Mississippi,
And playin' the towns,
Of Baton Rouge and Donaldsville,
That dark, soulful stream,
Finnally got us down to New Orleans,
Where some time ago,
I lost my baby,
Into those very waters,
She sank,

When the rain was heavy,
And the levees broke,
And the seas spoke,
So loud you could hear it out on the river banks,

I said I ain't never,
Gonna be the same,
Neither will the city,
That care forgot,
He looked to me,
For a while,
Didn't say nothin',
No, he just smiled,
Then he turned his face,
Towards the moon,
His hands made love to his guitar,
And he let out a croon,
Then he said,
When you've lost your heart,
You ain't got nothing left to lose,
You realize how everything else,
Just ain't no use,

C'est la vie,
C'est la vie,
C'est la vie,
C'est la vie,

Well, he said all you can really do,
Is live today,
Oh, yeah, live today,
So you can die tomorrow,
Now my friend,
The time has come,
For me to bid you,
Adieu,
He walked away,
And got lost,
In the live streets,
Of The Big Easy,
I stood there for some time,
Like a child,
Naked in the dark,
Thinkin' all the while,
In New Orleans,
My soul was torn,
But goin' anywhere else,
I've tried that I just don't belong,

New Orleans is my home,
New Orleans is my home,
I'm a New Orleans man,
Down to the bone

C'est la vie,
C'est la vie,
C'est la vie,
C'est la vie,

Se Murió Juan David

Se murió Juan David,
Apodado chupete,

Cuantas noches,
Que el muchacho no viene más,

Se murió Juan David,
Llora a oscuras,

Y empiecen a volver a beber,

A extranjeros y solitarios marineros,

Llamada Gloria,

Yo no tengo a una conocida Julieta,
Ni un amigo Romeo,
Si los tuviera les diría,
Basta con las mariconadas y coqueteos,
Váyanse a un motel de luces rojas,
Y déjense de rodeos,
Yo no tengo mujer que me haga pucheros,
Mejor así pues aguantarlos no puedo,
No soy tan caballero,

Nada me atrevo a develar,

In The Moonlight. (Para Andrea)

The city is lost in the moonlight,
Everything's alright,
In the moonlight,

When it's dark outside,
We get a reason to fight,
A reason to live,
We get a reason to die,

Darling look into my eyes,
Don't you see, we could kiss the sky,
If only you and I,
Had the courage to, we could fly,

Let's strap on a couple,
Of fallen angel's wings,
And go some place we ain't never been,
'Coz in this land of Oz,
Everything's upside down,
The winners lose and the losers win,
And fate is decided,
At a rotten heart's whim,

But if you don't like to fly,
Well, babe, that's just fine,
We can run, ride, drive, hell we could even swim,

'Coz everything's gonna be alright,
I know,
As long as we go,
In the moonlight,

The city's beautiful in the moonlight,
You can see the headlights burning the streets,
Like fists of sun traveling at the speed of light,
In the moonlight,

And though dispair, like a neon sign,
Stands tall and bright,
Like a beacon, calling you out in the night,
I'll be at your side,

Hold my hand fast and tight,
Don't ever let go,
Kiss me once and just right,
And I'll be ready to die in your arms tonight,
In the moonlight,

Let's strap on a couple,
Of fallen angel's wings,
And go some place we ain't never been,
'Coz in this land of Oz,
Everything's upside down,
The winners lose and the losers win,
And fate is decided,
At a rotten heart's whim,

But if you don't like to fly,
Well, babe, that's just fine,
We can run, ride, drive, hell we could even swim,

'Coz everything's gonna be alright,
I know,
As long as we go,
In the moonlight,

No one ever says goodbye,
In the moonlight,

I'll Be There

I'll be there when the night comes,
To make sure your sweet slumber,
Is undisturbed,

I'll be there when you're down,
To hold you tight and fast,
Whenever you're lonely or hurt,

I'll be there, wether or not the sun,
Goes up or down,
I'll be there when you're blue,
When you can't even make a sound,
I'll be there, you just call my name,
I'll come running to you,
I'll be there to make you smile and laugh,
And to steal away your worries too,
I'll be there to paint your day of the brightest colors,
When everything is grey,
I'll be there to sing with you,
And to dance the night away,

If you need a shoulder to cry on,
Or if you need someone to,
Switch the light back on your sun,

Or if you just want some company,
You know I'm just happy to be at your side,
Rain or shine, right or wrong, day and night,,

I'll be there, wether or not the sun,
Goes up or down,
I'll be there when you're blue,
When you can't even make a sound,
I'll be there, you just call my name,
I'll come running to you,
I'll be there to make you smile and laugh,
And to steal away your worries too,
I'll be there to paint your day of the brightest colors,
When everything is grey,
I'll be there to sing with you,
And to dance the night away,

Goodbye

You will never know,
How much I miss you,
The lips of life,
Did so well kiss you,
And though they say,
You fell into the abyss,
You prove them wrong,
You spread your wings,
You fly away,
And don't worry for me,
'Coz here I'll stay,
Singin',

Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na,
Farewell,
Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na,
Goodbye,

I ain't gonna shed,
A tear for you,
But I'm sure gonna smile you,
A thousand smiles,
I'll raise my glass and toast to,
You and I,
And all the times,
Both good and bad,
There ain't no reason to be sad,
'Coz I know,
Everything's gonna be alright,
Long as I,
Keep on singin',

Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na,
Farewell,
Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na,
Goodbye,

You shine bright,
And help us see the light,
I promiss I'll never tire,
And this guitar'll keep on playin',
And this, here friend,
Will keep on singin' '
'Til he done good and died,
I said,

Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na,
Farewell,
Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na,
Goodbye,

Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na,
Farewell,
Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na,
Goodbye,

Feel The Heavenly Music

Fire a burnin' arrow,
Across the sky,

See how, one by one, the stars,
Are bein' lit and burnin' bright,

Look up at the driftin' away sun,
And wave him goodbye,

And though it could, very much so be,
A miracle,

It's just a little bit,
Of rock'n'roll,

Feel the heavenly music come down,
Slow your roll,
Let it ease your soul,

Feel the heavenly music come down,
Slow your roll,
Let it ease your soul,

'Cause babe we live for,
Days like these,

When everything,
Is alright,

There's no reason to fright,
No reason to fight,

Only a reason to never say goodbye,
A reason to live until the day we die,

Feel the heavenly music come down,
Slow your roll,
Let it ease your soul,

Feel the heavenly music come down,
Slow your roll,
Let it ease your soul,

When We're Old And Grey

You and I,
Never meant to die,
What a shame fate wanted us to cry,

Remember that time,
We felt inmortal,
We were gonna ride out into the night,

I knew you, you knew me,
Both of us early and green
So pure, so pristine,

When did our story turn sour,
Foolishly we did not look to see,
The withering flower,

But, now the past is dead and cold,
That story's told,
That pain is old,

And how many things,
I wonder have gone wrong,
Ever since,

I just hope I know you tomorrow,
Your face, your heart,
When we're old and grey,

A fool's wish it may,
Very well be,
But it's one I'll wish anyway,

I just hope I know you tomorrow,
Your face, your heart,
When we're old and grey,

Fire Me Up (C'mon Baby)

C'mon baby, light me,
Fire me, fire me, fire me up, (3X)
Fire me up, (3X)

You say we're all,
Born to die,
I say I ,
Was born to live,
Let me in,
I'll make you feel alright,
Baby this here music,
Is all this worn out man can give,

C'mon baby, light me,
Fire me, fire me, fire me up, (3X)
Fire me up, (3X)

I ain't got no,
Time for talking,
I'm on the run babe,
And you're walking,
Why take it slow,
When we could fly, oh, so high,
To see you creep and crawl,
It makes me wanna break down and cry,

C'mon baby, light me,
Fire me, fire me, fire me up, (3X)
Fire me up, (3X)

Let's do some living,
Before we die,
The things you want,
I'll steal for you, alright,
We don't know 'bout tomorrow,
So why waste tonight,
Take my hand and I'll show you,
What happens on the other side,

C'mon baby, light me,
Fire me, fire me, fire me up, (3X)
Fire me up, (3X)

My Peace Of Mind

I'll sing you,
This lonely song,
I require,
Nothing in return,

The only thing,
I'll ask of you,
Is that you,
Lend me your ear,
I'll say my piece,
And then I'll leave here,

Nothing less,
Nothing more,
Just remember,
How it was before,

I did not mean,
To change,

Like the tree,
That stands for years,
And one day,
One of it's branches breaks,

Neither the branch is at fault,
Nor is the tree to blame,
It's just something that,
Happens along the way,

Well darling, see, like that tree,
Cannot be the same,
Neither can I,
For I too am broken,

I'm not asking you,
To patch me up,
I ask only for some time,
'Coz if you leave,

You'll take with you,
My peace of mind,

Todo olvidado,
Ya no queda nada,

En la memoria,
El último atisbo,
De esperanza,
Ya cayó en el abismo,

La marea sube,
Las olas tocan el sol,
Todo está perdido,
Pero incluso ahí,
Yo estaré contigo,

Cuando el futuro,
Se vislumbre oscuro,
Cuando la vida,
No sea tal,
Cuando lo quieras pintar,
Todo de negro,
Y olvidar, te ruego,
Allí estaré,
Para besarte de buenas noches,
De nuevo,

Puentes caídos,
Edificios rotos,
Monumentos que ya,
No son mas que escombros,

Encerrados,
En un cuarto sin puertas,
La cena está servida,
La sombra se acerca,

Las llamas crecen,
Hasta encender el cielo,
La luna arde,
Como una mota de terciopelo,

Y a tu lado,
Yo iré a parar,
Para, mano en mano,
Empezar a cantar,

Nuestra canción,
La cantaré,
Y la bailaré,
Una vez por ti,
Una por mi,
Otras dos,
Por el ayer,
Por el hoy,
Y una última,
A la salud,
De que el mañana,
Nos encuentre,

Y a tu lado,
Despertaré,
Y te besaré,
De buenos días,
De nuevo,

Won't You Leave The Light On

Won't you leave,
The light on,
So I can find,
My way back home, (2X)

Well, I've been walking,
For miles and miles 'round,
And passed straight thru',
A couple nameless towns,

Some call me,
A desertor,
Others a man,
Without a face,

Well that's what,
You get boy,
When you don't,
Know your place,

Won't you leave,
The light on,
So I can find,
My way back home, (2X)

It's been a long time,
So long I just can't,
Remember when,
I left my home,

It wasn't something,
I planned or meant,
Ran out to get the paper,
And I've been walking ever since,

Won't you leave,
The light on,
So I can find,
My way back home, (2X)

Well now the soles of my shoes,
Are all holed up,
And my beard's grown,
It's grown, oh, so long,

My heart's turned to clay,
And my feet to stone,
But, Lord I still don't see the day,
When I should get back home,

So won't you leave,
The light on,
So I can find,
My way back home,

Won't you leave,
The light on,
So I can find,
My way back home,

Recuerdo

Hecho pedazos,
Recuerdo tus manos,
Imitando los trazos,
Del sabio Picasso,

Y recuerdo tus palabras,
Como robles,
Imposibles de marchitar,
Y recuerdo tu humor,
Tan cambiante como el mar,
Imposible de descifrar,

Recuerdo que tus holas,
Me sabían a adioses,
Y recuerdo tu aliento,
Elixir de los dioses,

Recuerdo tus labios,
Color vinotinto,
Recuerdo nuestro amor de verano,
Ya en otoño extinto,

Y recuerdo el sabor de tu piel,
En otrora sabor a miel,
Ahora en este matiné de domingos,
Me sabe a papel,

Te recuerdo al romper del día,
Prístina y frágil a la mañana,
Recuerdo sentir tu olor y calor,
Mientras la lluvia llamaba a mi ventana,

Y recuerdo nuestro inesperado querer,

You Know

You know you're my hope,
My faith is plastered all over you,
Even when they want you to fall,
And they plant stones along the way,
I'll be there to make sure you don't,
And if you do, I'll be there to pick you up,

Coz though it's sad,
That we're all dying,
With every second that goes by,
There's no need to be crying,
We should be happy,
Coz I got you and you got me,
We should be happy,
Coz we have each other,
And we´re together, you and I,
Thru it all,

You know I hear you,
Every single second of every day,
I hear you laughing,
I hear you dancing the night away,
Throwing your hands up in the air,
Feeling inmortal and invincible,
Feeling alive,
Coz now is not the time to die,

Coz though it's sad,
That we're all dying,
With every second that goes by,
There's no need to be crying,
We should be happy,
Coz I got you and you got me,
We should be happy,
Coz we've got each other,
And we´re together,
For forever and a day,

You know I feel you,
Happy or sad,
Wrong or right,
Good or bad,
Day and night,
There's no need to be,
So harsh about things,
Not everything is black and white,
So take my hand,
Forget it all,
And let's just dance the night away

Soñaré.

Al en ti pensar,
Recuerdo a tus oídos escuchar,
Mi deshilachado,
Y desbocado cantar,
También vienen ahora,
A mi mente, al romper la aurora,
Momentos que,
En su tiempo eran hoy,
Pero al tiempo pasar,
Se han convertido,
En el desencantado ayer,

Y soñamos,
Como par de ilusos,
Al compás de la música,
Y letra de nuestro desconocido
Amigo Serrat,
Bailamos en el borde,
De la felicidad,
Y la agridulce agonía,
Entre la realidad,
Y cuentos de fantasía,
Juntos vivimos días,
Con la tonta esperanza,
De amor y gloria,
Que sólo respiran ya,
En la memoria,

Como una obra maestra,
Pintada con cenizas de carbón,
Que con el tiempo,
Y con el la lluvia y el viento,
Se borra,
Así como derrumbadas casas de cartón,
Quedan nadas más las imágenes de antaño,
En la memoria,

Soñamos con el mediterráneo,
Y can atardeceres púrpuras,
Que nunca habían de pasar,
Pero que en este idiota,
Con alma de marinero,
Han de perdurar,
Como barcos de papel,
Echados a la mar,
Tu y yo de la mano,
Nos zambullimos a ese incierto,
Y nebuloso océano del azar,
Pero yo fiel a mi idiotez,
No haré sino soñar,
Por ti y por mi,
Al compás de la musica,
Y letra de nuestro desconocido,
Mejor amigo Serrat,
Bailando en el borde,
De la felicidad,
Y la agridulce agonía,
Entre la realidad,
Y cuentos de fantasía,
Viviré días,
Siempre en el reino de Morfeo,
Con la tonta esperanza,
De amor y gloria,
Que siempre guardaré,
En mi memoria,

Addio Grande Capitano.

Addio Grande Capitano. addio Alessandro Del Piero

One

One kiss bought,
With smoke and mirrors,
One heart sold,
With tremors and shivers,
One glance,
Untrue and bland,
One dance,
Love´s intend,

Couldn´t see through the betrayal,
Swirling so fast, hands are frail,
Eyes of glass like a mannequin,
Equals a heart of crystal, fallen broken,

One success,
So cruel and brutal,
One mistake,
True and faithful,
One sigh,
Exposing a house of cards,
One sigh,
A broken heart,

Couldn´t see through the betrayal,
Swirling so fast, hands are frail,
Eyes of glass like a mannequin,
Equals a heart of crystal, fallen broken,

One second,
To remember,
One life,
To forget,

Couldn´t see through the betrayal,
Swirling so fast, hands are frail,
Eyes of glass like a mannequin,
Equals a heart of crystal, fallen broken,

Take

Take me free,
Take me slow,
Talk to me,
As we go,

Touch me here,
Kiss me there,
Anywhere,
I´m not scared,

Take my hand,
Take my soul,
Take me apart,
Take me whole,

Take me,
Piece by piece,
Take me,
With ease,

Take me there,
Where you know,
I´m dying,
To go,

Leave me out,
Take me in,
Be my queen,
I'll be your king,

Take me,
Piece by piece,
Take me,
With ease,

The River Jordan

Well, I´ll swim across,
The River Jordan,
In search of that hope,
Men call freedom,

After a lifetime,
Of being put down,
I´ll either be shot,
Or I'll drown,

For if I can´t live as free man,
At least I´ll die one,

I´ll get across the River Jordan,
And join the ranks of the brave,
Who fight for a dream, a promiss,
And ´till the battle is won my heart will not rest,

Well, I´ll swim across,
The River Jordan,
And someday I and mine,
Will live in freedom,

Coz I´m tired of working,
For nothing at all,
And eatin' and restin',
When those bells call,

Well, I ain´t guilty,
Of no crime,
But since a baby, I was,
I´ve been doing time,

After a lifetime,
Of being put down,
I´ll either be shot,
Or I'll drown,

For if I can´t live as free man,
At least I´ll die one,

I´ll get across the River Jordan,
And join the ranks of the brave,
Who fight for a dream, a promiss,
And ´till the battle is won my heart will not rest,

Well, I´ll swim across,
The River Jordan,
In search of that hope,
Men call freedom,

For I haven´t lived as a free man,
And I wish to at least die as one,

Whatever Comes

Hey what are you so down for,
So, they slammed that door in your face,
Don't you know that when a door,
Is shut, another is opened in its place,

Hey why are you so sad,
So they left on your own,
Don't you know it ain't that bad,
As long as you got something,
To sing for you're never gonna to be alone,

So take a chance,
And dance,
Let it all go,
It will all pass,
Whatever comes your way,
Ain't gonna last,

Hey, why the sorrow,
Why the long face,
Though they put you down,
It maybe hard for you to see it right now,
But everything's gonna be alright,

Hey, why the aching soul,
So, they tried to run you out of the world,
But it's up to you if whether or not they suceed,
As long as you've got something to fight for,
You've got a reason to believe,

So take a chance,
And dance,
Let it all go,
It will all pass,
Whatever comes your,
Ain't gonna last,

Roamin'

I went down to Alabama,
'Cause they said it was going ill with my mamma,
And when she passed, my heart got set on,
Running on up to Santa Ana,

I was looking for something,
I didn't know what it was,
But still I made up my mind,
To jump the gun and hop on the bus,

Lord, I ain't asking,
For you to make me better,
Just make me whole,

I don't want you,
To take away my fear,
Just make me bold,

Only a pitch blackness do I see,
Oh, Lord, won't you,
Make just a man out of me,

Nothing more than a drifter,
For life, of life had made me bereft,
Without all the things I once had,
To the will of the wind I was left,

And with no purpose at all,
All I could do was roam,
On and on,
Like a rolling stone,

Lord, I ain't asking,
For you to make me better,
Just make me whole,

I don't want you,
To take away my fear,
Just make me bold,

Only a pitch blackness do I see,
Oh, Lord, won't you,
Make just a man out of me,

A man without hope,
Will quicker rather,
Than soon be,
At the end of his rope,

It's been so long since I've,
Seen the face of a bright day,
And maybe tomorrow will be the day I always say,
But I find that big lamp in the sky just won't light up,

Lord, I ain't asking,
For you to make me better,
Just make me whole,

I don't want you,
To take away my fear,
Just make me bold,

Only a pitch blackness do I see,
Oh, Lord, won't you,
Make just a man out of me,

Love is life in disguise

Hey, open up a tab, barkeep,
Pour me a glass of sweet whiskey,
And let me in return, tell you my story,
And please don't let me know,
When it's time for me to go,

Long ago a girl I did meet,
She had a white bandana wrapped 'round her head,
She was wearing a red summer dress,
She took in a puff from her cigarette,
The sweetest legs, the loveliest hands,
Her long silky brown hair blowing in the wind,
I fell hard and fast for her right there and then,
But a fool was I for I did not see,
That she could, that she would,
Rip my heart out of me,

Hey barkeep, fill me up,
And would you please tell me something,
Some words of comfort to soothe,
These heart twisting blues,
Should I keep on trying to win,
Or should I just roll over and loose,

Man, If you think it's about,
Winning or losing, you've already lost,
Love ain't a game you play,
It's the fire that burns your way,
Out of an empty cage,

Well friend, it broke me outta the cage,
But then it slipped through my fingers like the wind,
I tried to hold it for a while,
But it ran too fast and hot and wild,
And it got outta my hands,

Man, if you force it you break it,
Love ain't a thing, you can't just take it,
You can only embrace it,
Gently in your arms and try to make it,
And hope it don't ever scape ya,

Then friend, you're saying there's nothing but,
Feeling like you're blindfolded,
With no sense of direction while holding a gun,
And trying to hit a a bird,
That's trying to fly into the sun,

Man, all you can really do is wait,
There's nothing to it,
It ain't gonna be pretty,
Specially in those times when the city,
Seems to be overrun by it,

Now it's time for you to go on home,
But before you do,
I got these last words for you,

Love is a runaway bride,
Love is a getaway car,
Love is a loaded gun,
Love is a pair of sad eyes,
Love is dirty and hard like a rock,
Love is pristine, love is soft,
Love is a lie told honestly,
Love is a truth that lies like dust on the floor,

Love is life in disguise,(2X)

Hello Moon

Hello moon,
You look so fair,
Dangling up there,
Dancing in the starry night,

Friends and lovers,
Come and go,
Like the ever passing clouds,
But you always remain aglow,

Moon,
I see you shining oh, so pale,
With a beauty so frail,
That brings tears to this lonely face,
But still you linger in your place,

As the night lives on,
And you lightly fade out,
To cede your stead to the sun,
I'll sing you away until you've gone,

Hello moon,
How've you been,
I'm still stuck here,
In this crazy scene,

Everyone,
Down here,
Is running wild, being a gull,
They're rushing to go nowhere at all,

Moon,
I see you shining oh, so pale,
With a beauty so frail,
That brings tears to this lonely face,
But still you linger in your place,

As the night lives on,
And you lightly fade out,
To cede your stead to the sun,
I'll sing you away until you've gone,

Professional Woman (C'mon kill me)

Feeling a bit down,
On my luck tonight,
Can you heal me,
Make me feel alright,
I want your loving,
Professional woman,
Come here, feel me,
C'mon kill me, yeah,

I want it now,
I want it all now,
I don't wanna wait,
And see somehow,
I ain't looking for,
Delayed satisfaction,
I don't want just a,
Piece of the action,
I don't wanna live for tomorrow,
Take away my sorrow,
C'mon, feel me,
C'mon, kill me,

Yeah, yeah,

My heart is in need,
Of some mending,
And my ears could use,
Some words of comfort,
I don't want no truth,
Keep on pretending,
Oh professional woman,
Steal me, feel me,
Thrill me, help me, yeah,

I want it now,
I want it all now,
I don't wanna wait,
And see somehow,
I ain't looking for,
Delayed satisfaction,
I don't want just a,
Piece of the action,
I don't wanna live for tomorrow,
Take away my sorrow,
C'mon, feel me,
C'mon, kill me,

Yeah, yeah,

Oh, c'mon, oh c'mon,
Take me down,
Lift me up,
I want to touch heaven with you,
And burn in a sun fire with you,

Sex, Drugs And Rock'N'Roll. (When the lights go out)

Sex, drugs and rock'n'roll,
Those words got a nice ring to them don't they,
Being on a bus that fills the empty road as it rolls away,
While your puffin on the sweetest grass,
Nothing's gone, nothing lasts,
All the things you've said and done fall away from your mind,
You're running out of time,

Sex, drugs and rock'n'roll,
This is what is all about,
When the lights go out,

Have you got what it takes to ride,
The rollercoaster tonight,
If you do then sing it out with stubborn pride,
All I want to do is take you up high,
To a place where we feel rock'n'roll,

Sex, drugs and rock'n'roll,

Sex drugs and rock'n'roll,
There ain't no better feeling,
Than thinking you're dreaming,
And then being kissed in the face,
By the sweet lips of reality,
Velvet hands, running down hidden places,
That hold the secrets to human inmortality,

Sex, drugs and rock'n'roll,
This is what is all about,
When the lights go out,

Have you got what it takes to ride,
The rollercoaster tonight,
If you do then sing it out with stubborn pride,
All I want to do is take you up high,
To a place where we can feel rock'n'roll,
We do it, and we do it in style and with a whole lotta soul,

Sex, drugs and rock'n'roll,

I'm on fire,
Don't put me out,
Gimme gasoline,

Leave me up in the clouds,
Where the soul lingers,
And guitars dwell and dream,

Sex, drugs and rock'n'roll,
This is what is all about,
When the lights go out,

Stay The Night.

Stay for a while,
It's not time to say goodbye,
Dry your tears and give me a smile,
It ain't time to drive away yet,

Lie down on the bed,
Rest your head on my chest,
Know we've done our best,
Sadly, sometimes, the best just ain't enough,

Stay the night,
Let's go out,
On a carrusel ride,
And side by side,
We'll kiss away the night,
Tonight we love,
Tomorrow we cry,

With our hands,
Fumbling through cigarettes,
And our mouths,
Casting out aching words,

We remember stories,
Our days of glory,
And you and I know,
I loved you best, I loved you worst,

Stay the night,
Let's go out,
On a carrusel ride,
And side by side,
We'll kiss away the night,
Tonight we love,
Tomorrow we cry,

The morning's come,
The moon has vacated,
The throne,
Now there sits the sun,

I'll take you in my arms,
And kiss you goddbye,
As my heart starts ringing the alarms,
Yesternight we loved, today we cry,

Stay the rest of our lifes,
Let's go out,
On a carrusel ride,
And side by side,
We'll kiss away the days and nights,
Today we love,
And tomorrow we'll die.

Across State Lines.

You say it's all getting old,
That this part of the deal,
Was left untold,
Now the tale has gotten too real,

I took your hand,
And then I let go,
When you could no longer stand,
On your own,

Now you say,
You want to,
Be taken,
Across state lines,

I couldn't hold,
My end of the bargain,
You'll break your chains when you get,
Across state lines,

All those lines,
On your face,
Have left a trace,
That weights on my head,

The salty tears,
That run down your cheeks,
In my mind,
Tucked away I do keep,

Now you say,
You want to,
Be taken,
Across state lines,

I couldn't hold,
My end of the bargain,
You'll break your chains when you get,
Across state lines,

I waited for something,
A miracle or a winning hand,
But all I got was nothing,
A handfull of sand,

Now you say,
You want to,
Be taken,
Across state lines,

I couldn't hold,
My end of the bargain,
You'll break your chains when you get,
Across state lines,

To The Sun. (Let's Hide Away From The Moon)

Let's close up the shades,
And bar the windows,
Play a record and rest,
Our heads on feather pillows,
Let's get carried away,
By the sweet tunes,
Let's make this bed our island,
And let's scape the moon,

Let's hide away from the moon,
And don't let it catch us,
But if it shall,
May it do so in bed,
And like faithful prisoners,
Deliver us,

To the sun, to the sun,
To the sun,

Let's tread our bodies,
With nowt but our lips,
Touch, grab, squeeze,
Bite, fall and kiss,

Everything goes,
In this mystical room,
Locked eyes and bed sheet croons,
Sing me away from the moon,

Let's hide away from the moon,
And don't let it catch us,
But if it shall,
May it do so in bed,
And like faithful prisoners,
Deliver us,

To the sun, to the sun,
To the sun,

Like a burning smoke,
I'll rise up,
From your feet,
To your thighs,
Never mild,
Always fierce,
My wild child,
I'll love for a thousand nights,

Let's hide away from the moon,
And don't let it catch us,
But if it shall,
May it do so in bed,
And like faithful prisoners,
Deliver us,

To the sun, to the sun,
To the sun,(8X)

Be At Peace Little King. (Ring 'Em Bells)

It hasn't hit me yet,
And when it's about to,
The waves fall back,
And I'm left standing at the shore alone and dry,

Memories of you visit me now,
From, oh, so far away,
But still, here I am, out and about,
And all I can really say,

Is goodbye, farewell,
I'll be sure to ring 'em bells,
For you once again,

It must've not been easy for you to leave your shell,
But it sure was quick,
And so I'll be sure to ring 'em bells,
For you once again,

Be at peace little king,
Shine on little king,

Your light went out,
Like a candle's flame in the nightly wind,
Yet somehow like the scent of perfume on clothes,
You're still lingering,

And maybe someday,
When the veil of life is lifted from my eyes,
I'll hear your laughter and see your face again,
But all I can say until then,

Is goodbye, farewell,
I'll be sure to ring 'em bells,
For you once again,

It must've not been easy for you to leave your shell,
But it sure was quick,
And so I'll be sure to ring 'em bells,
For you once again,

Be at peace little king,
Shine on little king,(4X)

Hey, You!

They put you down,
At every turn,
They say you're wrong,
And you never learn,
They say in ten years,
You'll understand,
For now put,
Your life in our hands,

Be a good sport,
And go hit the books,
If you comb your hair the right way,
And groom your looks,
Soon you'll be,
In a tie and a suit,
A productive soul,
With shined shoes,

Hey, you listen,
You may not know,
What you're missing,

But I do,
And I don't wanna,
End up like you,

I don't wanna be bored outta my mind,
I want it all,
And I want it all the more,
'Coz my fuel line,
Is running short,

They say with dough,
All is well,
It paves your road,
Up to heaven and away from hell,

Hey, you hear me,
You must not fear me,

But if you get in my way,
Oh, sonny,you better run,
Coz if you don't, you're gonna pay, pay, pay, pay, pay,

Hey, you listen,
You may not know,
What you're missing,

But I do,
And I don't wanna,
End up like you,

I don't wanna be bored outta my mind,
I want it all,
And I want it all the more,
'Coz my fuel line,
Is running short,

Violence

You didn't know that it all,
Was gonna be this way,
You thought there would be,
A light shinning at the end of the day,

And what can you say,
What do you see,
You feel like screaming,
And saying someone, please, take this life outta me,

You say you feel like,
An amputee,
'Coz you can't hold anything in your hands long enough,
And outrunning the dark rising waters is an impossible feat,

Everyone told you this was a carrusel ride,
A ferris wheel,
Everyone taught you how to dress and how to smile but they forgot,
To teach you how to cry, how to scream, how to act when it all get's a tad too real,
They only told you fairy tales, they skipped the sad stories, the dirty parts,

The tears, the rage, the blood, the broken hearts,
The dirty bed sheets, the ice cold silence,
The pain, the hope, the tightenning rope,
The sex, the scars, the love, the death and all the visceral violence,

Oh, yeah, a sea of violence,
We're all sailing on a sea of violence,
We're all capsizing on a sea of violence,
We're all drowning in a sea of violence,

A sea of violence,

Violence (12X),

This Is The Human Race. (I Love)

I love the stories you never tell,
I love how when you're going down in flames,
You never call for help,
I love how scared you get,
When it's time to pay the bill,
I love how fearless you are,
Putting your life on the line only for a thrill,

Yeah,
This is the human race,
All we wanted was time and space,
And now that we got it we let it go to waste,
Yeah, this is the human race,
We're all thrown together in this place,
Only to vanish from it and leave it behind without a trace,

Yeah, this is the human race,

I love how clueless you are,
Thinking that for us, there's always gonna be a tomorrow,
I love how well you justify,
Your staying put and never getting on the go,
I love how small,
You make the big things seem,
And I love how the damn small things,
Are the ones that mean,
The most to you,

Yeah,
This is the human race,
No matter the dirt and all the mess,
There are always those who keep the faith,
Yeah this is the human race,
One soul, one spirit, one flag, one heart,
One world, one blood, one song, Just one face,

Yeah , this is the human race,

Well I love how,
You're always just running wild,
Well I love how,
You never quite quit being a child,
Well I love how,
You never let nothing get you down,
Well I love how you can keep your feet on the ground,
And your head,
Up in the sky,

Yeah,
This is the human race,
There are always those who help us see,
Through the blinding haze,
Yeah, this is the human race,
We live and we die, and all the while,
Some throw themselves in a fool's race,
While others are trying to know,
How it feels or just trying to get a taste,
Of something real,
Before time runs out and we fade away,

Yeah, this is the human race

Well, this is the human race,
All we wanted was time and space,
And now that we got it we let it go to waste,
Yeah, this is the human race,
We're all thrown together in this place,
Only to vanish from it and leave it behind without a trace,

Yeah, this is the human race, (6X)

Tramps Like Us (Off Into The Sun)

Well you and I were thrown,
Into this spiriling story,
Where words like love and forever,
Were uttered for the sake of glory,

Living out in the night scene,
Full of broken hopes and lost dreams,
Where people live in the balconies,
Of bottles while riding death machines,

And all along only looking for,
A way out, an exit ramp,
With the devil always at our heels,
What could we do but turn into tramps,

Driftin from here to there,
With our hearts living in the exhile,
Well, we may be broken and we may be torn,
But we'll fight and claw our way out of this green mile,

Out of this green mile,

Coz there's gotta be something better than this,
Better than always living on the run,
And being chased down by empty promisses,
Otherwise, Let's call it quits, blow me kiss and lets run off into the sun,

Coz tramps like us we weren't born babe,
By freedom, blood and guts we were made,
And with tears in my eyes and blood on my face,
I tell you now, for us, out there somewhere, there is a place,

There is a place,

Coz there's gotta be something better than this,
Better than always living on the run,
And being chased down by empty promisses,
Otherwise, Let's call it quits, blow me kiss and lets ride our death machines,
Off into the sun,

Wet Tears

Walking out on the wire,
There ain't no better feeling,
The peril of falling into the fire,
In your every bone is seeping,

The danger makes everything,
More beautiful than it is,
Then when you shake loose,
From the spell, all there is, is this,

Wet tears,
Burning cigarettes,
Warm alcohol,
Sad songs,
To soothe an aching soul,

You knew better but you didn't see,
The signs were clear,
But you missed them all,
You went down and your heart took the fall,

Thought you were rolling,
Ah, so smoothly,
You were the king of the world,
Now you're the bum of the city,

Wet tears,
Burning cigarettes,
Warm alcohol,
Sad songs,
To soothe an aching soul,

Well now, ain't it a damn shame,
While you were on the edge,
You thought you'd never fall over the ledge,
Thought you were flying high,
When you were really out on the wire,
Well now, what you gonna do,
Thought you were making it across,
To the other side of the river bank,
Tell me now, was it fun to walk the plank
Now all you got are,

Wet tears,
Burning cigarettes,
Warm alcohol,
Sad songs,
To soothe an aching soul,

To Save Our Last Dance

Baby upped and left me,
Baby didn't shake me,
Baby didn't wake me,
To even say goodbye,

Baby got tired,
From walking out on the wire,
She jumped into the fire,

Now I'm burning in the pyre, pyre, pyre (3X)

Oh no, Oh, Oh, no,
You've made your point now come back,
Oh no, Oh, Oh, no,
Step into the house and unpack your bags,
Oh no, Oh, Oh, no,
I think this time she's really gone,
Oh no, Oh, Oh, no,
Lord knows I pray I'm wrong,
Oh no, Oh, Oh, no,
I lost her in the distance,
Oh no, Oh, Oh, no,
I didn't get the chance,

To save our last dance (4X),

Baby wanted more,
Than I was aiming for,
No crums on the floor,
So she walked out the door,

Oh no, Oh, Oh, no,
You've made your point now come back,
Oh no, Oh, Oh, no,
Step into the house and unpack your bags,
Oh no, Oh, Oh, no,
I think this time she's really gone,
Oh no, Oh, Oh, no,
Lord knows I pray I'm wrong,
Oh no, Oh, Oh, no,
I lost her in the distance,
Oh no, Oh, Oh, no,
I didn't get the chance,

To save our last dance (4X),

Baby didn't see,
What she was making of me,
Baby didn't know,
What life was like on the go,
Baby didn't wait,
She just wanted to scape,
Baby jumped the gun,
Now I'm stranded while she's on the run,

I didn't get the chance,

To save our last dance (4X),

The Old Man

The old man says he's ready for the ride,
To take that canoe across to the other side,
He says it's all been done and there ain't no use,
To sit 'round waitin' for the boatman to come by and pick him up,

The old man says he's tired and he's seen,
All the things he needed to see,
He says his heart ain't in it anymore,
He just wants to close his eyes, and go to sleep,

And see the angels playing by the sycamore tree,
And have the wind sing him songs that'll never come to be,
For after a lifetime of fighting every war a man can,
He's ready to feel some peace, in his old shrinkled hands,

The old man says he's just another soldier on a broken road,
Says he has no rifle, since he dropped it, oh so many years ago,
For the killing, he believed, was building him a cell,
Death by death, brick by brick, Oh my, the stories that cell could tell,

The old man says by the winter he will be no more,
That before the first snow, he'll be on the go,
That before the lakes freeze and the families start buying christmass trees,
He'll be in that eternally long slow sleep,

Watching the angels playing by the sycamore tree,
And having the wind sing him songs that'll never come to be,
For after a lifetime of fighting every war a man can,
He's ready to feel some peace, in his old shrinkled hands,

The old man says it's over, at the dinner table there's now and extra place,
In the ranks of the departed you can now see his face,
His smiles shines bright as he holds the candle that lights up the night,
He snuck behind the boatman and he finally took the canoe across to the other side,

And now he marvels at the angels playing by the sycamore tree,
And at having the wind singing him songs that'll never come to be,
For after a lifetime of fighting every war a man can,
He finally knows what it means to feel some peace, in his old shrinkled hands,

At The Hours's End

Come with me,
On a journey,
Into our disease,

Look into my eyes,
Feel my breath on your cheeks,
No mask, no disguise,
No secrets do we keep,

Treading unknown streets,
And empty squares,
Where fallen angels meet,
To comb their ash-like hair,

Walking deserted paths,
Across broken fields,
No hands, no promises,
Do we ever yield,

You touch my lips with yours,
Fire has opened the doors,
We stand before,
Hand on heart we swear for more,

Wish I Fall In Love One Day

Maybe someday I'll look up at the sky,
And it'll be on fire,
A kindled light shinning bright,
And life will rejoiced in the meaning it acquired,
When on a rainy day, a passing face,
May make you feel the things you felt some yesterdays ago,
And your heart will take it's place,
And quit being on the road,

Stranded in the middle of the passing time,
Like a castaway to the will of erratic currents,
You'll sway back and forth,
And your heart will wonder,
If it was all worth,
The blows it took,
The silly looks, the tears, the stories,
The words that fill the pages of it's book

A daily and ordinary occurrence,
Can in one second,
Change the stars and turn off the sun,
Before you can even ask why,
It's all done,
And uninvited happiness,
Will blossom,
And long forgotten promisses,
Will be held closely,
While the recent ones are discarted,
As scars of a brokenhearted past,
It's alright to want to say,
Wish I fall in love one day,

We're All Burning

Trapped at the bottom of a bottle,
Where dreams are made of gasoline,
This is the only world I know,
The only world I've been,

All it takes is a spark,
To light the fast burning fuse,
There ain't no scaping,
Runnin' ain't no use,

Cause we're all burning,
And the world is turning,
Upside down,

And all the things you say,
Only get in my way,
You're bringing me down, down, down

I'm stuck in a place,
Where the days stand still, like in a daze,
They say it's a phase,
That all I need is time and space,

They tell me I'm a lost cause,
That there ain't no fixing me,
I say I got swindled in the coin toss,
So just let me be,

Cause we're all burning,
And the world is turning,
Upside down,

And all the things you say,
Only get in my way,
You're bringing me down, down, down

But I just wanna go,
I don't wanna stay,
I just wanna leave,
I just wanna breath,

I feel like dying for a while,
Don't ask me to laugh and smile,
I feel like going for a run,
Into the barrel of your gun,

Cause we're all burning,
And the world is turning,
Upside down,

And all the things you say,
Only get in my way,
You're bringing me down,

Decissions

Fine decissions,
We're making it again,
Get a grip my friend,
There's still a long way ahead,
Before we reach the end,

Fine memories,
All the choices,
Lying on a bed of roses,
When the right answer was,
All along under our very noses,

But we pretended not to be,
And we intended not to see,
So we walked over what was lying,
Right in front of our feet,

And the days went by,
And we couldn't get it right,
And what took us so long building,
So fast came crumbling,

Bad memories,
Spawned out of the cold,
The lack of will to be bold,
To dig each other up,
From under the rubble,

Bad decissions,
Made time and time again,
We never seem to mend,
What got broken in ourselves,
The first time around the bend,

But we pretended not to be,
And we intended not to see,
So we walked over what was lying,
Right in front of our feet,

And the days went by,
And we couldn't get it right,
And what took us so long building,
So fast came crumbling,

And so with the unbeareble,
Weightlessness of missfortune,
I bid you adieu,
Maybe someday, many years,
From today, old an grey,
We'll look at ourselves in the mirror and wonder,
What ever happened to you

 We pretended not to be,
And we intended not to see,
So we walked over what was lying,
Right in front of our feet,

And the days went by,
And we couldn't get it right,
And what took us so long building,
So fast came crumbling,

I Imagine

I imagine,
Yes, I imagine every day,
No matter what people may say,
Or what they may throw my way,
I imagine every day,

I try and love,
I try and love every day,
I heard what you were singing of,
While the sky was falling away,
And the bombs were going off,
And the people's cry was heard night and day,

If only you were here today,
Would things be any different,
I wonder,
Probabbly,
You'd still be singing your song,
We'd be pushing on and on,
Standing tall,
By the city walls,
Tearing down barriers and barricades,
Fighting off the powers that be,
With chantings of peace, love and liberty,

I dream,
Oh, how I dream those ancient,
And eternal dreams,
That keep our blood red and burning,
And make us place our hearts and souls over the ledge,
That drive us over the edge,
That make us look far beyond the horizon,
And catch a glimpse of what lies ahead,

What would you say,
If you could speak out today,
Tell me, would you still,
Be fighting the folks at capitol hill,
That drop their bombs and shoot their guns
Only for the thrill to kill,
I imagine you would,
And I'd be standing beside you,

I cannot believe,
That so long ago,
Your life line was cut off so,
But 'till this day,
Your cry is heard,
From the cold shores of liverpool,
To the subway trains of NYC,
From the coastline of california,
To the deserts in India,

I imagine,
Yes, I imagine every day,
No matter what people may say,
Or what they may throw my way,
I imagine every day,

My Friend

My friend fell and bit the dust,
Though he pleaded not to the heavens,
They simply whispered back, you must,
He vanished before you could count from six to seven,

Not with cautious resolution,
Rather with swift violence,
Striped, he was, from lively functions,
And to the wind, casted it was, his sweet innocence,

Why did he have to cross that door,
Why did he have to die for,
Life, from his bosom, was so dispatched,
While we could only but helplessly watch,
Now the bitter tears I cry,
Not even the harshest of winds could ever dry,

Quickly was he beckoned,
To that place that lies beyond,
Never again will he utter a word,
Never again will he feel, turning, beneath his feet, this old world,

His song, shall no longer be heard,
For he's fallen cold and dead in the dirt,
And now my heart, broken, weeps,
Were I the one who fell in the webs of the eternal sleep,

Why did he have to cross that door,
Why did he have to die for,
Life, from his bosom, was so dispatched,
While we could only but helplessly watch,
Now the bitter tears I cry,
Not even the harshest of winds could ever dry,

He never had a chance to be,
Now his dreams and  hopes,
Are scattered at sea,
While I'm at the end of my ropes,

I'll never...,
He'll never...,
I'll never see him again,
He'll never breathe again.

Alibi (Para Ti Extraña)

Be my alibi,
As I steal away,
Your precious heart,
And vanish into the dark,

Be my alibi,
When your mind,
Comes asking for me,
Tell it I'm the ghost you never see,

Be my alibi,
As I strip you,
Of your fear,
Act like I ain't been here,

Be my alibi,
As I kidnapp you,
And take you to a place,
Where we can hide from those who chase,

Be my alibi,
Stash me away,
In the places you hide so well,
Far away from the ringing bells,

Be my alibi,
Tell 'em that I,
Am a man you once knew,
But now you no longer do,

Be my alibi,
As I dug you with my eyes and breath,
And make you forget,
All the tears, all the pain and death,

Oh, be my alibi,
Don't let 'em catch me,
Throw it all away,
And let's run off to sea,

Oh, be my alibi,
Don't let 'em take me away,
Oh, Be my alibi,
Forever and a day,

Fuck It...

Well good ol' Billy boy was feelin down,
Took his car and drove 'round town,
Thought 'bout his life and how it was going bad,
Didn't have nothing of what he thought he should've had,
A woman to hold and money in his pocket,
So, he stopped his car in the middle of the road,
Got out, turn his face into the sky and shouted, fuck it,

At the end of the day,
When things ain't going your way,
You gotta say, fuck it,
When you can't get out,
When you haven't got anything to fight about,
You just have to shout, fuck it,

Well now time was taking it's toll,
Out on Lucy's looks and her soul,
She was running out of time to find herself a suitable man,
She prayed and she'd say lord why won't you  lend me a hand,
Sittin at a table where her last date had stood her up,
She thought I'll never find someone before I kick the bucket,
So she got up off her chair and shouted, fuck it,

At the end of the day,
When things ain't going your way,
You gotta say, fuck it,
When you can't get out,
When you haven't got anything to fight about,
You just have to shout, fuck it,

Well now pappa frank got fired,
His old ways got the man good and tired,
No pension for the old man soon to be retired,
Dispite everything he was tranquil, not wired,
He sat on his couch and he did ponder,
On what would happen to him and his family,
So he went over there and told the man to suck it,
And though they beat him and threw him out,
When he went home he looked himself in the mirror and said, fuck it,

At the end of the day,
When things ain't going your way,
You gotta say, fuck it,
When you can't get out,
When you haven't got anything to fight about,
You just have to shout, fuck it,

When there ain't no money to make ends meet,
And you go out and only see broken people on the streets,
When the times seem real bad and grey,
And the poeple you trust have led you astray,
Regardless of where you are,
In bed, at the office, or in your car,
Don't mind the world, you're allowed to shock it,
Stretch out your arms, turn your face up at the sun, and say, fuck it,

Much Worse Than This

Feeling like there's no room for you to breath,
And the sun seems to shine on everyone else but you,
And you just can't seem to catch a break,
And the world's out to get you coz it hasn't go something better to do,

After I kick the bucket,
Send me down to hell if you wish,
Coz, honestly it just can't be,
Much worse than this,

Your life is standig still, like it went and ran outta gas,
And everyone else is just passing you by,
And while you break down they're all having some laughs,
And who you were looks you dead in the eye, while saying goodbye,

After I kick the bucket,
Send me down to hell if you wish,
Coz, honestly it just can't be,
Much worse than this,

Out Here On Nowhere Highway

Well I was born with my hands tied up,
Shackled around my back,
Growin up in the mist of a harsh dream,
Of concrete, toxic fumes and stone,
It don't get much harder than this,
With freedom always so far away, oh no,
It only takes a broken promiss,
To bring you to your knees,

Stories written on ripped jeans and 'round black alleys,
On dark corners and old whiskey bars,
Where strangers meet to drink away the scars,
They got in dark rooms and in the back of getaway cars,
But if you take my hand darling I swear,
That if we think on our feet, we can make a run for it,
Out into the horizon, babe, we'll head nowhere,
We sure gonna leave babe, but we ain't never gonna quit,

'Coz out in the night, from the lovers' rosey lips,
Dreams are born and fate is touched and kissed,,
And the junkies and hoodlums and all the dirty souls gather round,
On street cornes for one last shot at redemption only to shoot and miss,
And it don't get much easier than this,
When we're all falling from grace trying to grab onto,
Fading ropes and slippery hands,  now ain't this bliss,

But this is the way we live, you and I,
With one hand gripping tightly on a gun,
The other one on the steering wheel,
And the pedal to the floor,
Tell me 'coz I wanna know if this is real,
Crashing out on curbs, burning out on highways,
Smashing into each other, is this the best deal,
We could ever hope to get,

Well this here's life out here on nowhere highway,
Where the unwanted children and the forgotten,
Flood the streets by the thousands, everyday,
The dissilussioned and unfortunate sons,
And the broken hearted can only march on,
To the stifled beat of worn-out drums,
As they sing along,
I'll live fast and I'll die hard 'coz that's how I was born,

Out here on nowhere highway,

Out here on nowhere highway,

Send a little prayer out my way...

Can I tell you I was wrong,
I was lost and torn,
I was delivered and sent back home,

And the days will be renewed,
And you'll forget all the things you knew,
And you'll be hopefully,
Clueless and true,

And I trust the light will guide you,
And the spark of your heart ignite you,
And I'll feel alive when in the night you,

Send a little prayer out my way,
Send a little prayer out my way,

Threw it all out the window,
That just goes to show,
That's how the story of us go,

Leaving on the mend,
Save it for a friend,
I am just trying to breathe you in,

And I trust the light will guide you,
And the spark of your heart ignite you,
And I'll feel alive when in the night you,

Send a little prayer out my way,
Send a little prayer out my way,

And this just might be the corniest thing to say,
But love will make it's way,
Back to you,
And if that should fail, I will stay,
I'll stay beside you every step of the way,

And I trust the light will guide you,
And the spark of your heart ignite you,
And I'll feel alive when in the night you,

Send a little prayer out my way,
Send a little prayer out my way,

THE ANSWER TO LIFE'S MUCH EASIER THAN U THINK SON!!

Only through yer own eyes can you really start to see mate. Society's not the way, and if it is, it's the wrong one. It's whole concept's based on the assumption that we're all alike, when we're not, we're different, and it's whithing that difference that exists our humanity. So fuck the white collars and the legislatures, the law-makers and the lawyers, the politicians and the lobbiests, the judges and the criminals, the cops and the felons, hang them all, and let them all burn slowly in the pire. Burn the flags and constitutions from every country in the world, disband the nations and bring down the boarders and limits. Burn the wallstreet-behaving bastards along with all the bankers and all the other money-mungering whores who fuck people up for a living. Burn the labels you have on God, abandon the believe that those narrow and hard to walk fucking paths, those box size jails, that all the various religions are, are the only ways to peace and love, 'cuz they really lead only to one place, destruction. And those two things everyone's always yappin' on about, exist withing ourselves, they reside only in our souls, they cannot be found out there in the world. That's why some people are miserable in one particular place and others are happy in the same fucking place. Happiness and peace, we choose to show them or hide them, in the end it's up to you, you wanna be happy? Burn the "social" version of "you", exorcise it if you will, only then will you trully come to know who the fuck you are, what you're fucking made of. See life through your own eyes, not through someone else's. Be yourself, let things be, stop trying to be perfect, and be free, only then will you trully be happy and at peace... CHEERS!
