With your head always full of things to say,
But your lips refuse to cast those thoughts away.
Always in a daze, that's what your life's become,
Tangled up in an endless web of lies,
I wonder, friend, what lies behind your eyes.
Don't you know that nothing lasts forever,
Thought you were a bit more clever,
We'll all slide away one day,
And so I ask, how come we never ever,
Truly come to realise we're here until,
Just before we've gone,
I hope you and I will,
Before that day comes along.
You don't ever quite know,
Where it is that you should go,
You always take the same turns,
As everyone, in fear that you'll crash and burn.
Don't you know that nothing lasts forever,
Thought you were a bit more clever,
We'll all slide away one day,
And so I ask, how come we never ever,
Truly come to realise we're here until,
Just before we've gone,
I hope you and I will,
Before that day comes along.
This ride,
Ain't about always being right,
At many times it's quite the contrarie,
For the right kind of wrongs,
Remind us that we're free.
