My three roses...

Got three roses in my head,
And in my heart too,
Every night 'fore I go to bed,
I think 'bout the distance and it makes me blue.

Though in my mind I feel them near,
Their words, their thoughts I cannot hear,
My heart withers as I, in a kiss, send them all my love,
Though, somehow, that's just not enough.

Wish I could wish away time and distance,
And do nothing every night, just drink and dance,
Smoke funny cigarettes,
My three roses and I,
That life, I think it best.

Those things are theirs,
The ones I was born without,
A sense of style and grace
And a fire that nothing can put out.

Two of them freeze time,
The other one makes people fat,
My heart swells up and, like a bell it chimes,
I know and love them, and for this I'm so glad.

Wish I could wish away time and distance,
And do nothing every night, just drink and dance,
Smoke funny cigarettes,
My three roses and I,
That life, I know it best

Just sitting...

My momma always told me,
I had a heart of gold,
I was out of money,
And it had to go.

I've always been adrifting,
Never stayed in just one place,
And now here I'm sitting,
Breathing in the myst of a daze.

My mind begins to ponder,
On all the wrongdoings and the good deeds,
And so I wonder,
Why do the good die young and the bad grow like weeds?

These thoughts, like water,
Put my firey heart out,
The bad have all the power,
And the good only own smoke and doubts.

I've almost lived out my days,
Waiting to sing a song,
Now at last today,
It's finnaly being sung.

I've been walking for so long now,
My legs gave in,
I'm just gonna stay sitting down,
'Till fate says it's time for me to get on going.

And so my mind begins to ponder,
On all the wrongdoings and the good deeds,
And so I wonder,
Why do the good die young and the bad grow like weeds?

These thoughts, like water,
Put my firey heart out,
The bad have all the power,
And the good only own smoke and doubts.

Take me home

Nothing but empty streets,
Dirty beds of lust covered with lying white sheets,
One great hall of broken hearts and misery,
Most of us are lonely, some are happy,
Wotta way to live.

Come on, come on,
Just take me back,
Take me home,
To a place I belong,
Don't think I wanna be here anymore,
My mind's done.

I'm slipping deeper in this hole,
Remember way back when I felt I had a soul,
Now the warmth of the sun does nothing for me, I'm always cold,
A coward breathes behind this mask of bold.

Come on, come on,
Just take me back,
Take me home,
To a place I belong,
Don't think I wanna be here anymore,
My mind's done.
