The River Jordan

Well, I´ll swim across,
The River Jordan,
In search of that hope,
Men call freedom,

After a lifetime,
Of being put down,
I´ll either be shot,
Or I'll drown,

For if I can´t live as free man,
At least I´ll die one,

I´ll get across the River Jordan,
And join the ranks of the brave,
Who fight for a dream, a promiss,
And ´till the battle is won my heart will not rest,

And someday I and mine,
Will live in freedom,

Coz I´m tired of working,
For nothing at all,
And eatin' and restin',
When those bells call,

Well, I ain´t guilty,
Of no crime,
But since a baby, I was,
I´ve been doing time,
